mother's day strawberry tart recipe


Perfect for a Mother's Day Brunch!




1 puff pastry sheet thawed 

6 oz of cream cheese (room temperature)

2 Tbls sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract 

The juice of half a lemon 

1 package of strawberries sliced




-Preheat the oven to 400 degrees 

-Thaw the puff pastry sheet, and lay on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper

-Using a sharp knife score a 1/4 inch border around the edge of the puff pastry sheet (do not cut all the way through)

-Inside the border poke holes in the puff pastry using a fork

-In a bowl combine the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract and lemon juice using an electric mixer 

-Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly inside the border of the puff pastry

-Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes until the edges are golden brown

-Top with sliced strawberries and serve
